Anchored on human rights education, the Active Vista Film Workshop conducts trainings for students, filmmakers and development activists on the use of film and video for human rights advocacies. Facilitated by seasoned filmmakers and human rights activists, the sessions enables sharing of expertise of advocates and artists towards creating effective compelling films on human rights. The curriculum is designed to deepen the understanding how this platform can be utilized to tell stories on human conditions in a manner that allows the audience to empathize and to encourage social engagement. The AV Film Workshop breeds filmmakers whose fresh takes and innovative approaches to films will inspire revolutions of the mind and create movements. It encourages new paradigms and forms of aesthetic expressions in telling stories in the context of advocacy.
